Heading into Week 6 of the NFL regular season, the 49ers sit atop the NFC West at 3-2. Will they push their winning streak to three this week, or hit a road block against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday.

This is the first time San Francisco takes a regular season trip to Georgia since 2016, losing that game, 41-13. The 49ers hold a significant lead in the all-time series over the Falcons, 48-32-1.

San Francisco will need to overcome injuries to their elite defense Sunday, possibly without defensive end Nick Bosa (groin) and defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw (knee). The Red & Gold already lost one of their starting cornerbacks last week as Emmanuel Moseley suffered a torn ACL, ending his 2022 season.

It’ll be a challenge for sure, but the 49ers have all the motivation in the world to win this one for their injured teammates.

“The thing about our team and the guys we have is, nobody flinches,” defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans said this week. “Everybody has E-Man’s [Moseley] back and we’re gonna strap it up and be ready to go for him and everybody’s gonna go out and compete at their best to get this win for E-Man.”

What time does the Week 6 game start?

Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. PST on Sunday, Oct. 16th, at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Where can I watch the game?

The game will air live on FOX. Adam Amin (play-by-play) and Mark Schlereth (color analyst) will be on the call.
