The San Francisco 49ers are 5-0 since their Bye Week, but now face adversity with a trip to Arizona short-handed.
The 49ers take on the Cardinals at StateFarm Stadium Week 15. A clash that has gone San Francisco’s way in recent meetings, could be more of the same on Sunday. Or, could Arizona rise to the occasion for a massive upset?
The Red & Gold have been on fire since Week 10, outscoring their opponents, 162-65. San Francisco took on the Seattle Seahawks at home Week 14, controlling the contest in a 28-16 victory.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals are coming off their Bye Week. AZ defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in their Week 13 clash, 24-10, to improve to 3-10 on the season.
Despite the lackluster record, the 49ers aren’t overlooking the divisional game, especially with so many injuried players across the board for them.

“I’ve got a lot of respect of how they’ve done this year,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said about the Cardinals Wednesday. “I thought they were real tough at the beginning of the year. I thought we had to play flawless on offense to beat them, but that was a real tight game. Since then they have nine more games of reps. They’re playing very hard, they’re playing together. They’ve added some really good players, especially [Arizona Cardinals S] Budda [Baker] who they didn’t have.
“I think they’ve always been real talented on special teams. They’ve also gotten a very great talented quarterback back. They remind me a lot of us our first year where we started out 0-9 and finished 6-10. I think everything they’re doing is the right way and I think they’re a real tough football team.”
