The 2023 NBA draft lottery is Tuesday night and for the first time in years, Sacramento Kings fans don’t have to hope the lottery balls drop in the team’s favor.
Sacramento finished the 2022-23 season with a 48-34 record, securing them the Pacific Division title and their first playoff berth since the 2006 season. Unfortunately, the Kings didn’t survive past the first round, losing to the Golden State Warriors in seven games.
While there may not be much interest in the lottery for Kings’ fans this year, there are still plenty of storylines that could come out of Tuesday’s lottery.
When is the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery?
The 2023 NBA draft lottery is scheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 16.
How can I watch the lottery?
At 5 p.m., just before Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets, fans can tune into ESPN to see where the lottery balls fall.

Going into Tuesday night’s lottery, the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets and Detroit Pistons all have the best odds to land the first overall selection.
