The Fund has received an initial investment of $10,000 donated by Bonneville International Corporation, the parent company of Seattle Sports.

“The MS Society was an important charity for John and his wife Pat,” said Bonneville Seattle Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Cathy Cangiano. “The John Clayton Memorial Fund is a wonderful way for everyone to honor his memory and make a difference in the lives of others through a cause that meant so much to John.”

“Part of our company’s mission is to give back in the communities where we serve,” said Darrell Brown, President of Bonneville International. “John was a valued employee who used his own powerful voice for good. We believe this is the best way to honor his memory.”

100% of the donations received will be donated to the cause.

Those interested in joining the Pat Clayton Team at the Walk MS event in Seattle on April 24, 2022 can register here. Additional plans to support the 2022 Walk MS event are forthcoming and will be announced in the days to come.

Known to millions as “The Professor,” John Clayton enjoyed a Hall of Fame career that included covering the Seattle Seahawks as a beat writer for The Tacoma News Tribune, a long tenure as an ESPN NFL analyst, and hosting sports radio shows in Seattle, including Seattle Sports 710 AM for the past 14 years. He was a daily presence on Seattle Sports radio shows as well as a longtime contributor to SeattleSports.com as a columnist.

John Clayton passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022.
