NBC Sports California analyst and former Sacramento Kings forward Kenny Thomas joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross Wednesday morning to talk about potential playoff matchups with the Golden State Warriors, which teams scare him the most and the upcoming back-to-back series with the Portland Trail Blazers.

“I really don’t want to see the Warriors, but at the same time, the way that Minnesota has been coming in and beating up the Kings the last couple of games, especially at home, it’s been kind of bad. You can kind of tell that Minnesota is really physical and they have some bigs inside that is not a good matchup for [Domantas] Sabonis,” Thomas said. “The Warriors scare me the most, to a certain extent because when it comes to a shootout, who’s going to be better? I hate to say it, but the Warriors are a better shooting team, especially cause they have three guys who can light it up behind the perimeter.”

Additional topics discussed include:

  • How player contracts have gotten really high
  • Preferences for potential playoffs matchups with the Kings
  • Why the Kings’ guard will need to step up against bigger teams in the playoffs
  • A matchup between the Kings and Warriors could be the most fun and craziest in the playoffs
  • What should the players’ reaction be when the playoff berth becomes official?
  • Will it be acceptable for grown men to cry when the Kings break the playoff drought?
