Earlier this summer, the Sacramento Kings re-signed Keon Ellis to another two-way contract.
Ellis signed his first two-way contract with the organization after going undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft. As a member of the Stockon Kings, Sacramento’s G-League affiliate, he averaged 16.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 44 percent from three-point range.
He spoke with Jason Ross in Las Vegas as the Kings wrap up summer league play. The two discussed the team’s recent games, being more comfortable in his second year, getting more reps with the Stockton Kings and more.
“When you’re up, you’re already learning to stay ready, you’re also learning from things that are going on on the court,” Ellis said. “You got guys like Delly, HB, everybody just is telling me to stay ready, things they’re seeing. Guys like Malik would tell me if I miss a read, that definitely helps me out when I’m with the main team.”
Additional topics discussed include:
- If the game has slowed down for him going into year two
