Sacramento will head back to Golden 1 Center to face the Warriors on Tuesday night
The Sacramento Kings shook off a brutal preseason opening loss on Sunday night when they defeated the Portland Trail Blazers by a final of 121-106 at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
De’Aaron Fox, who struggled in Friday’s preseason opener, found his rhythm on Sunday night, scoring 13 points to go along with four assists over 25 minutes of action.
Richaun Holmes scored 14 points–including a made three-point field goal–before fouling out in the third-quarter. Holmes also grabbed five rebounds during his 26 minutes of playing time.
Due to the absence of backup point guard Cory Joseph, sophomore guard Kyle Guy got an extended look on Sunday night.
Guy knocked down three of his six three-point attempts, finishing with 14 points in the win.
Nemanja Bjelica looked better in Sunday’s contest, scoring 12 points to go along with six rebounds after only mustering two points in Friday’s blowout loss.
Rookie guard Tyrese Haliburton looked a lot more comfortable in his second NBA appearance, scoring 11 points, grabbing six rebounds and dishing a team-high seven assists.
