The Stockton Kings are making history.

On Tuesday, the team announced Lindsey Harding as the team’s next head coach. Previous head coach Bobby Jackson departed the team earlier this summer to join Nick Nurse’s coaching staff in Philadelphia. Jackson spent the last two seasons with the Stockton Kings, leading the team to a 25-7 record last season.

The Stockton Kings also announced the promotion of Anjali Ranadivé from Stockton Kings Assistant General Manager to General Manager. This is the first time in G League history that two women will lead a G League affiliate.

Former Stockton Kings GM Paul Johnson is set to join the Sacramento Kings front office.

Lindsey Harding was the first overall pick for the Phoenix Mercury in 2007. After a nine-year career in the WNBA, she transitioned into the role of a player development coach with the Philadelphia 76ers. She then joined the Sacramento Kings organization as an assistant coach/player development coach.

Harding currently leads the Mexican Women’s Senior National Team and in 2021, Harding was appointed head coach for the South Sudan Women’s Senior National Team.
