Liz Cambage Scores 53, Breaks WNBA Record

Dallas Wings center Liz Cambage broke the WNBA single-game record for points yesterday when she scored 53 points against the New York Liberty. The previous record was held by Riquna Williams when she scored 51 in 2013.
Liz Cambage put up a historic stat-line today, with 53 POINTS (including 4 threes), 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks to become the record leader in most points in a single #WNBA game!

Cambage went 17-22 from the field, 4-5 from behind the arc, and 15-16 from the free throw. She hit a three with 44 seconds left to break the record. She also had ten rebounds and five blocks. The Wings would go on to win the game 104-87.
After being absent from the WNBA from 2014-2017, Cambage is having a career year with the Wings, averaging 21.4 points per game with 9.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.
