Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk spoke to the media on Thursday to share some thoughts on the team’s 4-0 start to the post-All-Star stretch, recap last week’s memorable matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, and look forward to this weekend’s back-to-back at Golden 1 Center.
Monk, who exploded for a career-high 45 points during last Friday’s double-overtime 176-175 win over the Clippers, helped form the first Kings duo in franchise history to both score 40+ points in a single game.
The other player? Monk’s college teammate and good friend, De’Aaron Fox, who finished the night with 42 points.

There was debate between Malik Monk and Kevin Huerter over a free-throw shooting game that the team goes through at the end of each practice.
A swish is 2 points. A make is 1. A miss is -1. Game to 21.
