Tyler Herro led a balanced attack with a game-high 26 points and the Miami Heat opened a five-game Western swing with a 114-102 handcuffing of the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco on Thursday night.

Playing without Jimmy Butler, out with a strained left calf, the Heat extended their road winning streak to four by holding Golden State to 24.2 percent shooting on 3-pointers (42 percent overall).

Jamal Cain chipped in with 18 points, Bam Adebayo and Jaime Jaquez Jr. 17 each, and Nikola Jovic 11 for the Heat, who made 48.4 percent of their shots and won despite connecting just 10 times in 31 3-point attempts.

Stephen Curry struggled through a 3-for-15 shooting performance for the Warriors, who were opening a seven-game homestand. Curry and Klay Thompson shared team-high scoring honors with 13 points apiece but hit a combined 27 percent.

Curry’s 3-for-15 struggle included a 2-for-8 night on 3-pointers, while Thompson posted similar numbers, going 4-for-11 overall and 2-for-6 on 3-pointers.

Miami overcame an early five-point deficit by putting up 36 in the second period en route to a 58-51 halftime lead. The Heat scored 33 more in the third period to go up by 15.

The 102 points allowed equaled the fourth-fewest for the Heat this season.

Herro accounted for three of Miami’s 10 3-pointers and shot 10-for-18 overall. He also secured seven rebounds.

Adebayo was the game’s co-leading rebounder with 11 in a double-double performance, while Jaquez, the former UCLA star playing his first NBA game in the state of California, complemented his double-figure point total with five rebounds and a team-high six assists.

The Warriors’ Trayce Jackson-Davis matched Adebayo’s 11-rebound total to go with 10 points.

Andrew Wiggins (11 points), Moses Moody (11), Brandin Podziemski (10), Jonathan Kuminga (10) and Dario Saric (10) also scored in double figures for the Warriors, whose point total equaled their second lowest of the season.
