San Francisco Giants Injury Updates: April 28, 2026
Outfielder Harrison Bader, who is dealing with a left hamstring strain, is taking a step forward in his recovery and is set to begin baserunning.
Bader has been on the injured list since mid-April, and his progression marks the next phase in a return that has yet to be fully scheduled.
Right-hander Jason Foley, recovering from right shoulder surgery, is advancing in his rehab as well.
Foley is scheduled to throw live batting practice in Arizona, a key benchmark as he works his way back toward game action following a procedure that has kept him sidelined since before the season.
Left-hander Sam Hentges continues his rehab assignment in Sacramento after undergoing both right knee and left shoulder surgeries.
He is scheduled to pitch on Thursday as he builds toward a return, having already logged multiple appearances during his assignment.
Similarly, right-hander Joel Peguero is also in the midst of a rehab assignment in Sacramento while recovering from a left hamstring strain. He is slated to pitch today as part of his continued progression back to the major league roster.
Catcher Daniel Susac, who is dealing with right elbow ulnar neuritis, has begun a hitting progression and is expected to start throwing later this week.
While his return timeline remains fluid, the early stages of baseball activity indicate encouraging progress in his recovery.
The Roseville native was hitting .478 over 23 at-bats before being placed on the injured list on April 20th.
