Preview: Giants hope to find offense in series with Rockies

A struggling San Francisco Giants team will hope to get back into the win column during a three-game series against the MLB-worst Colorado Rockies.

The Giants (15-21) enter play on Tuesday having lost six of their past seven games, including four-straight losses at the hands of the Philadelphia Phillies.

San Francisco’s offense has been disappointing thus far in the regular season, as the Giants are currently ranked 23rd in runs scored (132) and runs per game (3.67).

For a team that made several additions in the offseason, it’s been an unideal start for San Francisco–one that has put them in an early hole in the National League West standings.

A matchup against the Rockies could have arrived at the right time for the Giants, as Colorado (8-26) enters play with the league’s worst record and team ERA (5.65).

Over their past 11 games, San Francisco has scored 2.5 runs per game. The Rockies’ struggling pitching staff could give the Giants a boost, especially when you take their 5.58 ERA over the past ten games into account.
