Nathan Grubel, content manager for the No Ceilings NBA Draft board, joined Sactown Sports heading into Thursday night’s draft to discuss the impact of the first three picks and what the Sacramento Kings are likely to do at 24.
“So I think everyone’s expecting them to take Kris Murray,” Grubel said, explaining why Keegan’s twin brother makes the most sense. “Ultimately, I would place my bets on Kris Murray, but Julian Strawther, another great option out of Gonzaga, as well, someone who would be able to space the floor for everyone else. You’re getting the big wing size. Someone like him or [Ben Sheppard] or [Kris] Murray would all be great option, but my money, I’m picking Kris Murray at twenty four.”
Additional topics discussed include:
- Why Victor Wembanyama is the clear-cut overall first overall pick for the San Antonio Spurs
- Scoot Henderson should be the second pick, despite the Charlotte Hornets already having LaMelo Ball
- Should the Hornets consider Brandon Miller with the second overall pick?
- If the Kings don’t select Kris Murray at 24, they should consider Ben Sheppard
