The NBA announced Thursday morning that it is postponing the Warriors game on Friday night following the death of assistant coach Dejan Milojevic.

Milojevic, who was 46, suffered a heart attack at a team dinner in Utah prior to the team’s game against the Jazz. The NBA also postponed the Warriors matchups against the Jazz. Neither game’s makeup date has not yet been announced.

Originally scheduled for ESPN, the league announced the Brooklyn Nets at the Los Angeles Lakers will now be shown instead.

Dejan Milojevic joined the Golden State Warriors during the 2021-22 season. Prior to that, he was the head coach of KK Budućnost in the Adriatic League in Montenegro.

“I had the pleasure of working with Dejan during my time with the Warriors. Not only was he an extremely talented coach, he was an even better person. I join the entire basketball community in grieving his loss. My thoughts are with his wife, Natasa, and their children, Nikola and Masa.”
