Kings Announce 2026-27 Preseason Schedule and Broadcast Team

The Sacramento Kings 2026-27 preseason will feature matchups against the Lakers, Warriors, Trail Blazers, and Spurs.

Now that the Sacramento Kings and the NBA as a whole have concluded their Summer League activities, their next on-court action won’t take place for another two and a half months.

The team announced its five-game preseason schedule, beginning with a home game on October 5th, 2026, against the Los Angeles Lakers. The full schedule is as follows:

October 5th: vs. Los Angeles Lakers (7 P.M. PST)
October 8th: @ Los Angeles Lakers (7:30 P.M. PST)
October 10th: @ Golden State Warriors (5:30 P.M. PST)
October 13th: vs. Portland Trail Blazers (7:00 P.M. PST)
October 16th: @ San Antonio Spurs (7:00 P.M. PST)

Hosting the first preseason matchup against a new-look Lakers squad, a known rival of Sacramento, should create an exciting atmosphere at the Golden 1 Center, as rookie centerpiece and projected starting point guard Darius Acuff will get his first repetitions with the man squad.

The same will likely be true for fellow rookies Alex Karaban and Emaneul Sharp, along with new two-way players Alex Mogbo and Adam Flager. Given how preseason is a time for testing things, getting in-game shape, and not pushing your starters to the brim, it wouldn’t be surprising to see all of them get an opportunity throughout the five-game slate.

Staying on the West Coast throughout the first four showings makes for easy travel, with their preseason finale in San Antonio being the lone outlier in that regard. There are also no back-to-backs on the schedule, as is typical for preseason hoops.

Four of the games will air on Kings+, while the October 10th game in Golden State will be on NBC Sports California.

As part of the announcement, the Kings also unveiled their broadcast team for next season, full of familiar names. Mark Jones and Kayte Christensen will return alongside Morgan Ragan and Deuce Mason for Sacramento’s broadcast coverage.

General manager Scott Perry still has plenty of time in the more than 70 days before preseason comes around the corner to fill out his final regular-season roster spot, along with one more two-way opening.

Given how active they’ve been in trade rumors, perhaps Zach LaVine, Domantas Sabonis, Malik Monk, or others will have been relocated by then as well. No matter what plays out up until that point, October 5th will mark the official start of Sacramento’s 2026-27 campaign.
