Jeffri Chadiha, senior columnist for NFL.com, joined “The Drive Guys” Monday to talk about the results from Sunday’s game between the 49ers and Eagles and where Brock Purdy now stands in the MVP race.
Tracking the NFL’s MVP race throughout the season, Chadiha now sees San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy as a top-three candidate to take home the award after Sunday’s big win over the Eagles.
“It certainly boosted Brock Purdy into the conversation. [He] probably should have been there a long time ago, and kind of made Jalen Hurts go down a step,” Chadiha said. “But if you watched that game yesterday, you realized the best team in the NFL is in San Francisco and usually you get the best team in the NFL, they’re quarterback is playing at a high level and that puts Brock Purdy front and center.”
Additional topics discussed include:
- Is the Philadelphia Eagles’ secondary its weakest link?
- Where running back Christian McCaffrey sits in the NFL’s MVP race.
- Is Purdy still considered “Mr. Irrelevent” around the league?
- The biggest improvement for the 49ers since their three-game losing streak earlier in the season.
- Chiefs fans are frustrated with Kansas City’s inconsistency this year.
- How serious are the Cowboys and Lions to make it to the Super Bowl?
