The man who recorded the third most tackles for the Las Vegas Raiders last season is heading to Houston. According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Denzel Perryman is expected to join new head coach DeMeco Ryans and the Houston Texans on a one-year deal.

In his two years with the Raiders, he started 26 games, recording two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and 237 combined tackles. His best season came in 2021 with his first Pro Bowl appearance after recording 154 combined tackles.

The 30-year-old linebacker’s 2022 season ended early following an injury in the Raiders’ Christmas Eve 13-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Perryman left the game early after he injured his shoulder. The team placed him on IR following the game.

Since being selected in the second round by the then-San Diego Chargers in 2015, Denzel Perryman has started 77 games, recording 586 combined tackles and 406 solo tackles.
