Nick Bosa Misses Second Consecutive Practice Thursday

Day 2 of San Francisco 49ers practice at The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, and still no sight of Nick Bosa.
The team’s star pass-rusher missed the second half of Week 5’s contest against the Carolina Panthers after suffering a groin strain in the first half. He was ruled out for the remainder of that game early in the third quarter.
Still dealing with tightness in his lower body, Bosa missed Wednesday’s practice and it seems he will be held out Thursday as well.

Bosa was seen doing drills off to the side, according to reports Thursday, indicating that he still has a chance to suit up Friday, and possibly Sunday, as well.
Joining Nick Bosa on the DNP list is defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw, still dealing with irritation in his surgically repaired knee. The former first-round pick tore his ACL last season, effectively ending his breakout campaign after four games.
A little bit of good news for the 49ers Thursday as DE Samson Ebukam returned to practice after sitting out Wednesday with Achilles pain. Both he and offensive lineman Aaron Banks (knee) are banged up after playing on artificial turf in Charlotte, needing another day of recovery ahead of Week 6.
“Yeah, those two is just tendonitis from the turf. They’re just still sore from it,” Shanahan added.
