Sometimes too much of a good thing, can be bad; That appears to be the case with Ndamukong Suh and the 49ers Faithful.
The long-time defensive tackle is on the prowl for a new home down the stretch of the regular season. The one-time Super Bowl champion is now in his 14th season, starting back with the Detroit Lions in 2010. Now 36, Suh is only looking to join a contender for another run at the Lombardi Trophy.
So naturally, the San Francisco 49ers would be a team to monitor.
But when it comes to the notion of 49ers general manager John Lynch potentially adding the big man, The Faithful is split to say the least.
With the #49ers injury woes at DT, should John Lynch make a play for Ndamukong Suh?

While the poll conducted on X ended with 51.9% in favor of the addition, initially, Suh was not a name 49ers Faithful were excited about. And that’s after the team had already been without starting DTs Arik Armstead and Javon Hargrave.
As for where the 49ers themselves stand, here’s what Kyle Shanahan had to say Monday:
Not yet. I’m not ruling out anything. We have guys on our practice squad as you guys see that we used last week. But, that stuff we also aren’t exactly sure when Hargrave and Armstead are coming back. We do know they have chances this week. So, there’s a lot of variables that are playing together that we’ll be discussing here the rest of the day, tomorrow. Even if we don’t make a move in any area, that’ll probably be continuing throughout the year.
San Francisco did in fact add more defensive line help this week, signing fellow Super-Bowl champion Taylor Stallworth to the practice squad Thursday.
Could that mean no more moves down the road? Never say never. But for now, the 49ers appear content with there current situation. Additionally, Suh has most recently worked out with former 49ers coach Mike McDaniel and the Miami Dolphins this week.
Ndamukong Suh is a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro defensive tackle. In 14 years, the Oregon native has accumulated 600 combined tackles, 214 quarterback hits and 71.5 sacks. He last played with the Philadelphia Eagles, featuring in eight games last season.
