Carr, Adams talk about the impact Waller and Hunter will have for Raiders offense

When healthy, Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow can be deadly offensive weapons.
From 2019-2021, Waller recorded 3,006 yards from 252 receptions, with 14 touchdowns. Renfrow was no slouch during that same time period, either. Since being drafted in 2019, he’s caught 229 receptions for 2,491 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Their injuries this year and lack of playing time have been noticeable for a Raiders team that is 29th in Red Zone scoring and outside the top 10 in other offensive statistical categories.
On Wednesday, Raiders coach Josh McDaniels announced that Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow have been designated to return from injured reserve. If both players are activated, it’ll be the first time since Week 2 that the Raiders have their full slate of skill position players on offense.
While speaking to the media, wide receiver Davante Adams said that’s something they’ve been thinking about for months.
“So, it’s about just making real action, doing something about it once we get out there and going to make plays. We definitely scheme up – we’ve got a good plan in so far, and I think those guys have put in the proper steps to make sure that they are back and ready to go now, so it’s just about execution.”

Quarterback Derek Carr said he would love to see what the offense looks like with everyone and hopes Waller and Renfrow are able to play whenever “they’re allowed to.”
“For me, I would love to be able to see what it could be like and if we can just start getting better and see what that looks like,” Carr said. “See what it looks like when everyone’s there and what we planned on it looking like. That would be nice, but it’s the NFL, and it doesn’t always work out that way.”
