Interview with Sacramento Kings forward Glenn Robinson III begins at the 07:10 mark
The former Michigan Wolverine has been in the league for six seasons after being selected with the 40th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.
“I’m excited to be here in Sacramento,” Robinson told J-Ross and Doug on Friday. “It’s cool to see the community and people excited, my teammates excited for me to be here. I look forward to making an impact here and having fun with the guys.”
On what he can bring to the Kings roster, Robinson mentioned that his hustle and energy could add to what the franchise is attempting to improve on: pace.
“Every time I play Sacramento, they’ve been young, a run-and-gun team, a team of high pace and I believe that’s what Luke (Walton) wants us to do again this year.”
On why he believed that the Kings were his best fit in free agency, Robinson stated that Sacramento’s interest stood out to him during the process.
“Now, being in a period in my career, I’ve backed up Paul George in Indiana, I’ve played in Detroit with Blake Griffin. I’ve had some different roles in the league where I have started, came off of the bench. Sacramento was in the works for me since the beginning of free agency. There’s nothing like having a team call for you and really fight for you,” he said.
“It says something about the organization. They really wanted me. I’m excited to be here and I’m going to give it my all.”
