The seaside town of Lahaina in Maui was devastated earlier this month when a wildfire tore through the town, killing over 100 people and destroying 2,000 structures.
Many have stepped up to offer help, and now that list includes the Sacramento Kings. The team announced Tuesday that a group — which includes the Sacramento Kings Foundation, River Cats Foundation, Ranadivé Foundation, Genevieve and Paul Jacobs, Debby and Hal Jacobs, Annie and Jeff Jacobs, GB Revocable Trust, John and Nancy Kehriotis, the Carlsen Family, Lisa Parker, and Michael and Holly Fahn — have donated $90,5000 to support those impacted by the wildfires.
“Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by the catastrophic wildfires in Maui,” Sacramento Kings Owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadivé said in a press release. “The beautiful island means so much to so many, and we are committed to supporting the resilient community and their recovery efforts.”
