Sacramento State football to face former head coach Troy Taylor
Following a successful run as Sacramento State’s head coach, Troy Taylor inked a deal with Stanford shortly following the Hornets’ loss in the playoffs.
Taylor put the Hornets’ football program on the map after being hired before the 2019 season, having posted a 30-7 record (23-1 in the Big Sky Conference) during his time with the team.
The 54-year-old was had been a driving force in turning Sacramento State’s football program into an FCS powerhouse over the past three years. Last season, the Hornets posted the first undefeated regular season finish in school history before falling to Incarnate Word in the postseason.
