Even though the 49ers start their 2022 playoff run this weekend against the Seattle Seahawks, it’s never too early to look ahead to next season.
The San Francisco 49ers’ 2023 opponents have been revealed. The Red & Gold will have eight home games and nine away games for the 2023 NFL season, similar to the 2021 season when the league expanded to a 17-game schedule.
The entire NFC West division will face eight opponents from the AFC North and NFC East in 2o23. Those eight games, combined with six NFC West divisional battles and three games against the NFC South, NFC North and AFC South division champions, will make up the 49ers’ schedule next season.
Among the notable home contests, the 49ers will face the Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Day Prescott at Levi’s Stadium next season. Since San Francisco clinched the NFC West, they will host the NFC South champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Santa Clara, while visiting the NFC North champion Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The 49ers will also visit the AFC South champion Jacksonville Jaguars in 2023, inking their name to the 49ers’ schedule in Week 18.
All dates and times for 2023 are to be determined…
