Visit Sacramento
Welcome to NBA Draft day Kings fans.
All the mock drafts, mixtapes, and big boards have led up to this evening when the Purple & Grey make their selection at number four overall in the 2022 NBA draft.
Whether you’re excited, nervous, or anxious about tonight’s selection (or trade, this could be a wild night), that’s only half the battle, as you’ll need a plan in place to enjoy one of the best nights of the NBA calendar. If you don’t have one, great, head on down to DOCO where the Kings are holding their draft day festivities, displaying the pick live on a giant screen outside the arena.
Once you’re down there though, you’ll need a place to absorb all the Kings content for the night. So here are my three places to visit around Golden One Center for draft night.
Punch Bowl Social

Located directly across from the Golden One Center, Punch Bowl Social is the perfect place to kick off the draft night. Head on in for some great food and mixed drinks, with games such as bowling, darts, and foosball to get you in the competitive spirit. Want to stay a little longer, head upstairs for a great outlook of the downtown commons and the draft party going on around the arena. Punch Bowl Social is open seven days a week, starting at 11 a.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. on weekends. Punch Bowl closes at 2 a.m. every day except Sundays when it closes at midnight.
Sauced BBQ & Spirits

Feeling hungry for some BBQ? Check out Sauced, one of my personal favorites in the downtown commons. Sauced BBQ serves southern-style food with a twist of modern concepts. Dishing up anything from ribs to brisket, Sauced is the place to be if you enjoy good ol’ fashion BBQ. I recommend the sliced brisket sandwich with coleslaw on it to give it more a tangy taste. Open daily at 11 a.m., the restaurant is open until 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9 p.m. Sunday.
Revival Rooftop Bar and Lounge

Feeling a little fancy or wanting to have a nightcap after the Kings’ selection, then make your way over to the rooftop of the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel where you’ll find Revival. A more upscale bar and lounge, Revival has a great selection of drinks and snacks to keep you going throughout the night. Collared shirts, dress shoes, and jeans are encouraged within the strict dress code, so make sure you have the proper attire before heading on up. Revival is also a 21+ establishment after 4 P.M. so make sure to keep the little ones at home if you plan on stopping by. The lounge also hosts events such as “Tasty Thursdays” where they’ll be live entertainment to keep you enjoying the Sacramento night. Open Wednesday through Sundays at 5 p.m., the bar closes at midnight on Wednesday and Thursday nights, and 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
