A weekend of rest seems to have done wonders for Brandon Aiyuk, back on the practice field Monday ahead of Week 4.

The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver was seen taking part in practice during the media portion Monday, a sign that his shoulder injury has healed considerably over the weekend. While the 49ers will likely not give him a designation for Monday’s bonus practice, his appearance without a blue non-contact jersey is a welcome sight for The Faithful.

Brandon Aiyuk suffered the shoulder injury in Week 2’s win over the Los Angeles Rams, getting hurt on the opening series of the contest. The Arizona State alum was a limited participant in practice last week, before ultimately sitting out for Week 3 due to the short turnaround of a Thursday night matchup.

Now back on the field ahead of Week 4, his availability for Sunday’s clash with the Arizona Cardinals should be high at this point.

“I think he probably could [have played] if it was a Sunday. We were hoping maybe he could wake up different today, but he didn’t have a chance once we saw that,” coach Kyle Shanahan stated after Week 3’s win.

Additionally, WR Deebo Samuel (ribs) was held out of Monday’s session. Samuel got banged up in the New York Giants’ game, falling on the football after a big gain. While x-rays showed no breaks in his chest, he left Week 3 with some significant soreness, according to his coach.

Joining Samuel on the sidelines Monday is linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (ankle). His counterpart, Dre Greenlaw, also has an ankle injury but was practicing off to the side of the field. WR Jauan Jennings and cornerback Ambry Thomas joined Greenlaw Monday.
