Brian Anderson says Kings fans give a ‘college feel’ at home games

Mar 9, 2023, 11:55 AM | Updated: May 24, 2024, 7:13 am

NBA on TNT broadcaster Brian Anderson joined Deuce & Mo Thursday to talk about the Sacramento Kings facing the New York Knicks on TNT, Brian’s love for Sacramento and what makes small-market teams so special. Plus, Keegan Murray’s development from college to now

All that and more on Deuce & Mo.

“When you hear reactions on specific plays throughout the game, just basketball plays, great plays you [hear fans cheering]. You know, the fans are into it. So it does have a little bit of that college feel, that NCAA Tournament feel, that every play matters, [every] possession matters. It doesn’t, don’t get me wrong. But when you’re in that arena, that experience matters and you’re there living and breathing the whole thing. And I think Kings fans, they’re electric, and I love that vibe here,” Anderson said on the show Thursday.

Topics discussed include:

  • What was Brian Anderson doing the last time the Kings made the playoffs?
  • What’s it like to call Sacramento Kings games?
  • What makes the Kings, and other small-market teams, special?
  • Brian’s love for Keegan Murray and how the fans treat him
  • Why Kings fans are “electric”
  • Why Malik Monk & Kevin Huerter are so important in the postseason
  • Are high-scoring games a problem?
  • Brian commends Deuce & Mo for their hard work
