The Sacramento Bee’s Chris Biderman joined the Deuce & Mo Show Wednesday to talk about the Sacramento Kings’ loss to the Boston Celtics, how the Celtics represent teams Sacramento could face in the postseason and what Mike Brown is preaching on defense. Plus, can the Kings pass some of these tough tests down the stretch?

“They’re going to have to increase their physicality and be able to combat when other teams are physical against them. So I think it’s been a pretty noticeable, or notable, litmus test for them, playing against the [Milwaukee Bucks] and playing against a team like the Celtics. And you could say it was a scheduled loss but like, these are still opportunities for you to measure yourself against teams that are really top-tier NBA championship contenders,” Biderman said on the show Wednesday.

Topics discussed include:

  • Was the Kings’ loss to the Celtics a “scheduled loss”?
  • How impactful are long road trips for NBA teams?
  • Do the Kings have a problem against top-six teams in the eastern conference?
  • What are some of the biggest differences between regular and postseason basketball?
  • How is Mike Brown making adjustments after losses?
  • Why Chris feels confident that the Kings can fix their defensive woes
  • How do the Kings reach the next level as a team?
  • How does Mike Brown’s previous coaching experiences help him with the Kings?
