Cyclist Gianni Moscon was kicked out of the Tour De France yesterday after he tried to punch French rider Elie Gesbert in the face during the opening 800 meters of Stage 15.
About 0:14 seconds into the video, you can clearly see Moscon turned around and punched Gesbert.

Team Sky released a statement supporting the decision to kick out Moscon from the race;
“We support and accept the decision by the race organisers to exclude Gianni Moscon from the Tour de France. Gianni is desperately disappointed in his behaviour and knows that he has let himself, the Team and the race down. We will address this incident with Gianni once the Tour is complete and decide then if any further action should be taken.”
His teammates expressed they are disappointed with Moscon’s actions and that they now have to continue the race even though they are now one man short.
This punching incident is shouldn’t be confused with the time Moscon was suspended for six weeks for spreading racist insults at the Tour de Romandie, or the time he was accused for causing an opponent to crash, or the time he was caught cheating at the World Championship and got kicked out.
