The 49ers have some injury concerns heading into Week 4 and those start with Deebo Samuel.
San Francisco’s wide receiver was held out of practice Wednesday due to injuries sustained in Week 3’s win over the New York Giants. Samuel is dealing with a rib injury he suffered in the fourth quarter of last Thursday’s game. He was cleared of any breaks to his midsection but left the game pretty sore, according to coach Kyle Shanahan. The wideout is also dealing with a knee injury that came to light after Week 3.
The injuries are enough to have him sit out Wednesday’s practice, a situation that should be monitored closely this week.
San Francisco were also without WR Jauan Jennings (shin) and linebacker Dre Greenlaw (ankle) on Wednesday. The latter suffered the injury in Week 3 as well, returning to the contest a few plays later. Their injuries should also be monitored prior to Week 4, both playing key roles for the 49ers.

Returning to practice Wednesday was WR Brandon Aiyuk, expected to be limited. Linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (ankle) and cornerback Ambry Thomas (knee) were also limited on Wednesday.
Deebo Samuel is the biggest surprise though, expected to be full go after his rib scare last week. That is not the case, however, now racing against the clock to be healthy enough to play against the Arizona Cardinals Sunday.
