Sacramento Kings radio voice Gary Gerould joined Chris & Co Thursday to talk about Sacramento clinching their first postseason berth since 2006, how Mike Brown has been instrumental to the culture change, what it means for the city of Sacramento, and reflecting on the past 17 years of covering the Kings. Plus, what’s next for the Kings this season?

“In my mind, it starts with Mike Brown,” Gerould said on the show. “I just can’t give him enough credit for what he has done in transforming this organization. And certainly Monte McNair and Wes Wilcox, people in the front of office who assembled the roster and gotten people together who are good fits. And a group that loves being with each other and supports each other, that trusts each other. All things that you hear coaches talk about ad nauseam over the years. It’s a reality now in Sacramento.”

Topics discussed include:

  • What did last night mean to the G-Man?
  • What does this mean for the city of Sacramento
  • What are some memories that stick out from the last 16 seasons?
  • What makes this Kings team special?
  • Was Mike Brown the big change for the Kings?
  • Do the Kings have their souls back?
