After weeks of endless injuries, the 49ers are going into Week 7 relatively healthy for the first time this season.
San Francisco 49ers safety Talanoa Hufanga and cornerback Charvarius Ward being the biggest to suit up, coming into the weekend questionable. Hufanga had been in the concussion protocol, suffering ahead injury early in last week’s loss against the Atlanta Falcons. He returned to practice Thursday and Friday, sporting a blue non-contact jersey before passing all the steps to be available Sunday. Meanwhile, Ward has been dealing with a groin strain that ruled him out at halftime of Week 6’s contest. He returned to practice Friday in limited fashion.
Coming into Sunday as the only real 49ers in question, their activation is a positive step in the right direction.
Joining them is defensive end Nick Bosa, left tackle Trent Williams and right tackle Mike McGlinchey, all active after dealing with injuries throughout the week.
The newest member of the 49ers, running back Christian McCaffrey, will also be active for this game. Getting traded from the Carolina Panthers Thursday night, the team has spoken with him and will feature the versatile offensive weapon on 48 hours’ notice.

“There’s no way he could be ready to [play a full game], anyone can get up and have a limited package, but what happens with an injury and stuff when someone has to go in and do everything and those are the things we’ve got to really think through,” head coach Kyle Shanahan stated Friday.
Now slated to give it a go, CMC will debut for his new team Sunday afternoon.
