49ers’ beat writer for the Santa Rosa Press Democrat Jack Hammer joined Cattles & Ramie Wednesday to discuss San Francisco’s NFL Combine plans, areas he thinks the team should address this offseason, and if the right tackle spot is a must-need for the 49ers. Plus, could Jimmy G make a return to the Red & Gold in 2023?
“They have Colton McKivitiz, who they seem to really trust there. And he’d be the number one person, and then they also have Daniel Brunskill. If they decide to bring Brunskill back, that’d be a nice competition at the right tackle spot,” Jack Hammer said on the show Wednesday. “So I do think that they’re gonna make a move at that right tackle spot in the draft. I just don’t know if that’s something that they’re going to look to make early in the draft.”
Topics discussed include:
- Where do the 49ers stand entering the NFL Combine?
- What are some areas of weakness for San Francisco?
- Could Jimmy Garoppolo be the veteran QB for 2023?
- Jack’s thoughts on his NFL Combine experiences
- How do the 49ers replace Mike McGlinchey?
- Some draft prospects to look out for this spring
