Sacramento Kings TV analyst Kayte Christensen joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross on Wednesday morning to continue previewing the first-round matchup between the three-seeded Kings and sixth-seeded Golden State Warriors. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Golden 1 Center.

“One of the really positive things about this matchup is that there’s no other coaching staff or any team in the league that knows the Warriors better than Mike Brown and his staff. So I think that’s a positive,” Christensen said.

Additional topics discussed include:

  • Going to Saturday’s game as a fan since Dorris Burke will call the game for ABC
  • Shifting on-air duties since a majority of playoff games are broadcasted on national television
  • How much of the Kings’ inexperience is a factor in the team’s matchup with the Warriors?
  • Will the Kings’ offense transfer to the playoffs?
  • How should Mike Brown and the coaching staff contain Draymond Green?
  • “Draymond’s whole approach to the game, especially against an inexperienced team like the Kings, I would imagine would be to elevate his trash talking, his methodology to the tenth degree. So it’s going to be about not letting that get in your head, keeping your cool, sticking to the game plan and trying to put them in situations that you can expose them.”
  • If the Kings wanted to play the Warriors
  • Why it’s good for the Kings that the national narrative is to pick the Golden State Warriors
