The San Francisco Giants released a series of medical updates Tuesday, providing the latest on several injured players as the club continues to navigate a disappointing 2026 season.

At 29-43, the Giants have fallen well below expectations and are increasingly facing the possibility of becoming sellers at the upcoming MLB trade deadline.

Recent reports have suggested San Francisco is willing to listen on several veteran players as the organization evaluates its future.

San Francisco Giants Injury Updates

Outfielder Harrison Bader remains in Arizona while recovering from left plantar fasciitis.

Reliever Jason Foley, sidelined by a right shoulder injury, continued his rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento and was scheduled to pitch Tuesday night in Oklahoma City.

One of the more important developments involved right-hander Tyler Mahle, who is recovering from a left hamstring strain. Mahle started Tuesday night for Triple-A Sacramento against Oklahoma City and threw 63 pitches over three innings. He allowed one hit and one run while issuing five walks during the outing.

The Giants had previously announced Mahle would be limited to between 60 and 65 pitches as he continues building toward a return to the major league rotation.

Despite some command issues, the veteran right-hander successfully reached his pitch-count target and took another step forward in his recovery.

Infielder Jared Oliva continues his rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento while recovering from a left wrist hamate fracture.

Meanwhile, pitcher Joel Peguero has advanced to the next stage of his recovery from a left hamstring strain. According to the club, Peguero began his throwing progression last week and will continue that process while rehabbing in Arizona.

One of the most notable updates involved outfielder Heliot Ramos, who has missed time with a right quad strain. The Giants announced that Ramos has reported to Triple-A Sacramento and is scheduled to begin his rehab assignment on Wednesday.

Right-hander Keaton Winn is also making progress in Arizona. Recovering from a right elbow strain, Winn is expected to begin a throwing progression by the end of this weekend.

While reinforcements are beginning to move closer to returning, the San Francisco Giants’ struggles have placed even more importance on getting healthy contributors back.

San Francisco enters the second half of June with one of the National League’s worst records and mounting questions surrounding its direction ahead of the trade deadline.

For now, the organization hopes a wave of returning players can help salvage a season that has quickly slipped into uncertainty.
