The time has finally come ladies & gentlemen, the 2023 NFL schedule release is here!
To kick off the popular event, the league has spread out the release over two days, with the international games first up. This season, the league heads back across the pond to England and Germany, playing five games total in Europe.
Heading to London will be the Atlanta Falcons playing hosts to the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in Week 4. Then a week later, the Jaguars will play the Buffalo Bills Week 5 at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium. Finally, the Baltimore Ravens play the Tennessee Titans in Tottenham Week 6.
The NFL will also travel to Frankfurt, Germany in Weeks 9 and 10, with the Miami Dolphins taking on the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, and the Indianapolis Colts facing the New England Patriots. This marks the first time the league has played in Frankfurt after having the country’s inaugural NFL game last season in Munich. The NFL will alternate between the Waldstadion in Frankfurt and Allianz Arena in Munich over a four-year agreement started last season.

The announced games were revealed on multiple networks Wednesday with the full schedule release set for Thursday, May 11th. Amazon, ESPN, CBS Fox & Friends and CBS Mornings all got to announce games this year.
The NFL has been playing games internationally since 2007. Last season, the league played games in England, Germany and Mexico City, Mexico. The San Francisco 49ers played in the lone game south of the border in 2022, defeating the Arizona Cardinals, 38-10.
Despite not having a game in Mexico in 2023, the NFL made sure to jam-pack the international series with hotly-contested games in the regular season.
