After more than a month of training camp and preseason, the 49ers 2023 regular season is right around the corner.

On the latest edition of the Return of the Empire podcast, Amil Fragoso and Nate Littlefield recap the 49ers’ 2023 preseason and all the drama that ensued. The guys break down Trey Lance & Jimmy Garoppolo’s comments this week, roster cutdown day and some give some bold predictions for this season. Plus, will Nick Bosa be signing with the 49ers anytime soon? The team says they don’t have a drop-dead date to return in order for him play Week 1.

“I don’t, I’ve never had to make that decision before and I won’t make that until I see him,” Kyle Shanahan told KNBR on Thursday. “I mean, I’m gonna do everything I can to hope that he plays Pittsburgh. I can’t make that decision until you see a guy, you see him out [on the practice field]. Hopefully we’ll get a chance to get him into practice next week.”

All that & much more on the Return of the Empire.
