Richaun Holmes speaks to the press during Kings media day.

Richaun Holmes told Carmichael Dave and Jason Ross Monday that he’s “really, really confident in the work I put in this summer.”

During Kings media day, Holmes spoke with Sactown Sports about how injuries derailed him last season and the excitement surrounding the team heading into the 2022-23 season. Last year, he was limited to only 45 games and 10.4 points. During the 2020-21 season, Holmes set career bests in points, 14.2 per game, and blocks, 1.6 per game.

Topics discussed include:

  • How Richaun’s family, especially his mother, is more famous than he is in Sacramento
  • What he did during the offseason and where he went on vacation
  • Working on a 3-point shot and being able to stretch the floor this upcoming season
  • How unlucky he was last season with injuries and not being able to get into a rhythm
  • Why the goggles are staying after two eye injuries
  • His outlook on the team and the excitement surrounding the upcoming season
