Sacramento Kings sign rookies Colby Jones, Jalen Slawson

The Sacramento Kings announced Sunday night they’ve signed both selections from the 2023 NBA Draft.
According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Kings locked up their 34th overall pick with a four-year, $8.76 million deal.
In the team’s press release announcing the signing, Jones averaged 15.0 points, .7 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.3 steals in three seasons at Xavier. During the 2022-23 season, he earned All-Big East honors

The team also announced they’ve signed Jalen Slawson to a two-way contract. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Slawson, the team’s 54th overall selection in the 2023 NBA Draft, averaged 15.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.5 steals last year at Furman.
