The Sacramento Republic have been winning on and off the field during the 2023 season. So much so that they’ve introduced another kit into the rotation.
Sacramento Republic FC announced Tuesday the Resilient Kit, a new-look jersey inspired by the team’s inaugural season in 2014. The Indomitable Club lifted the USL Cup in its’ first season, celebrating that achievement almost ten years ago.
This is the second speciality kit the club has unveiled, after the Legacy Kit was announced earlier in the season. Both jerseys were designed by hummel, a danish brand celebrating their 100th year in the game.

“We are thrilled to add another hummel kit to our collection,” Republic FC Executive Vice President of Business Operations, Ashley Horsley said in the club’s statement. “While the Legacy Kit told the story of our club’s rich history, the new Resilient Kit is a step into our future, as a club and as a community, while still lifting up the integral parts of who we are.”
The kit features the UC Davis Health sponsor across the front, appearing there on every Republic FC jersey since 2014.
Sacramento has also chosen to place a 988 patch on the sleeve, spreading awareness for the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The month of May is Mental Health Awareness month, and the placement of the patch is purposeful, helping to “socialize conversations about suicide and mental health concerns and crisis and remind anyone who sees the patch that there are resources for those in need.”
Sacramento Republic FC will debut their Resilient Kit on the pitch Wednesday when the club travels to face Orange County SC. Kickoff from Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine is set for 7:00 p.m. PT and the match will be broadcast on Antenna TV 40.2, FOX40.com, and the FOX40 News mobile app, as well as streaming on ESPN+.
