Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green will make his return to the team on Thursday just over a week after striking teammate Jordan Poole in the face during a practice session.

Green will not face a suspension from the team but has been fined an undisclosed amount for the violent act towards Poole.

The Athletic‘s Sam Amick joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross on Thursday morning to discuss what went on behind the scenes following the Green-Poole altercation, contemplated if the two teammates will ever be able to fully move past the incident, and much more.

Topics Discussed:

  • Why does Draymond Green have Jordan Poole to thank for returning to the Warriors so quickly?
  • How much leeway does Green have with the Warriors organization after his recent antics?
  • Will this issue always be bubbling underneath between Green and Poole?
  • Is this genuine forgiveness on Green’s part, or a business decision?
  • Reflecting on the DeMarcus Cousins-Donte Green incident, one that is similar to the Green-Poole situation
