ESPN contributor and NBA reporter Scoop Jackson joined Sactown Sports Friday to talk about the latest news surrounding the NBA offseason. Speaking of the offseason, he believes the Sacramento Kings are one of two teams that “lowkey” had a strong offseason.
First, he mentioned the Milwaukee Bucks for being able to bring back two core members — Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez — of their 2021 championship team. Then, Jackson added the Sacramento Kings in his answer.
“The fact that they got… I don’t know how they ended up with Chris Duarte. To me, that’s one of those low, low-key moves that is going to play a big dividends because of what they’re bringing back to the table,” Jackson said. “I think their offseason was somewhat amazing, as well.”
Additional topics discussed include:
- New York Knicks fans reacting to the team’s playoff loss to the Miami Heat
- Is Portland trying to appease Damian Lillard as they look for trade partners?
- Does Victor Wembanyama’s game translate well to the NBA?
- Which teams helped themselves the most this offseason?
