While the Sacramento Kings had a successful year, some players had up-and-down seasons. One of those players, Terence Davis, started the year hot with a big game on national television against the Brooklyn Nets, but then was seen sporadically throughout the rest of the season.

On the season, the Kings’ guard averaged 6.7 points, 1 assist and 2.2 rebounds.

However, he made his presence known in Game 6 of the team’s first-round series against the Golden State Warriors. While he didn’t score a lot of points, Davis made significant contributions off the bench, securing the Defensive Player of the Game chain with his defensive efforts on Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

Heading into the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, Davis spoke about his role with the Kings and what’s next.

“You want to make sure you’re ready at all times or anytime your name is called, you want to be ready and go out and perform the best you can,” Davis said. “I feel like throughout the year, I kind of done it in certain areas and sometimes, maybe I wasn’t prepared for the opportunity, like you know the last few games of the season. But definitely feel like I’ve gotten better in my career and this year, under Mike Brown.”
