The San Francisco 49ers have been masters at accumulating draft picks in recent years, doing so again in 2024.
The 49ers have been awarded the maximum five compensatory 2024 draft picks by the NFL Friday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter was first to reveal the 2024 list, with SF getting selections in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth rounds of this year’s draft. In total, the 49ers have 11 draft picks this year, same as 2023.
However, the third-round pick (No. 99) will reportedly be going to Washington as a part of the Chase Young deal last season. All in all, SF has 10 picks currently.

The 49ers have been wizards of adding draft picks in recent memory, losing prominent free agents, coaches and front-office members over the years. In turn, SF has gotten compensatory picks, using them to help fill out their roster.
Here is a list of the 49ers’ 2024 Draft Selections:
- 1st Round: 31st
- 2nd Round: 63rd
- 3rd Round: 94th
- 4th Round: 125th (via DAL), 132nd (Comp)
- 5th Round: 175th (Comp)
- 6th Round: 211th (Comp), 215th (Comp)

In total, the NFL awarded 34 compensatory picks Friday, with 14 teams receiving them. Only the Los Angeles Rams rivaled the 49ers with a maximum five picks awarded this year, three of those coming in the sixth round.
