The Sacramento Kings forward joined the show this week to catch up with the guys, share what he has been up to during the hiatus and more

This week on the Grant Napear Show with Doug Christie, Sacramento Kings small forward Harrison Barnes joined the show to talk hoops, how he has been dealing with the COVID-19 situation and more.

Barnes, an Olympic gold medalist and NBA Champion, was enjoying a strong season for the Kings before the COVID-19 outbreak brought the sports world to a halt. Over 64 games, Barnes held averages of 14.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while shooting 38-percent from beyond the three-point line.

The interview with Harrison Barnes begins at the 4:06 mark

On staying ready and in shape while NBA training facilities are closed, Barnes shed some light on what he’s been doing to keep himself moving during this tough time.

“It’s definitely difficult to try to stay in peak conditioning and do all those things you want to do,” he said. “I think this time gives us a little bit of time to pause, reflect and really enjoy time at home.

Barnes shared with reporters earlier in the season that he would not be cutting his hair or shaving his beard until the Kings make the playoffs of get to the .500 mark. When Doug asked if HB has caved in and shaved during the six-week hiatus, Barnes put any speculation to rest.

“We’re rocking strong, man,” Barnes said laughingly. “We’re rocking strong until we figure out what’s going to happen with the season.”

Over the course of the interview, Grant and Doug ask Harrison several great questions regarding his career, preparation and more. Listen to the entire interview by clicking the “play” button at the top of the post or check it out on KHTK.com.
