Former Sacramento Kings forward Jason Thompson joined Carmichael Dave and Jason Ross to talk about experiencing Game 1 between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors in person.

Thompson holds the record for the most games played as a King in the Sacramento era with 541. Unfortunately, those years came during the team’s playoff drought.

“So just thinking like, how it was and to where it is now man, shows you why the team should always have been in the city and the fans deserve it,” Thompson said on the show. “You guys deserve it through thick and thin man. I think no one could even hear themselves think the other day, and it was love.”

Topics discussed include:

  • JT gives his thoughts on Game 1 between the Warriors & Kings
  • Did Sacramento have to win Game 1?
  • What was the atmosphere like at Golden 1 Center?
  • Are the fans the x-factor in this series?
  • Thompson recalls his time with the Kings and what the team means to the city
  • JT shares stories from the dark days of Kings’ basketball
