Former Sacramento Kings’ color commentator & head coach Jerry Reynolds joined Cattles & Ramie Monday to discuss the team’s most recent wins, where he thinks the Kings stand in the final stretch of the regular season, and the ascension of De’Aaron Fox. Plus, Jerry gives a shoutout to “The G-Man” Gary Gerould, as we celebrate his 3,000th-game milestone.
“I think [De’Aaron Fox is] bordering on superstardom, I really do,” Reynolds said on the show Monday. “I saw Tiny Archibald in his prime in Kansas City…The year he averaged 34 points and led the league in scoring and assists. He was totally unguardable at that time and that’s really where Fox is.
“I mean, don’t get me wrong. To be a Hall-of-Famer like Archibald, he needs to put together three or four more years like he has. But yeah, I think Fox has got a chance to be the best guard in franchise history.”
Topics discussed include:
- Could De’Aaron Fox become the best guard in Kings’ history?
- Jerry’s thoughts on Keegan Murray’s rookie season
- When was the last time the Kings’ offense looked this good?
- How do they stack up with the rest of the Western Conference?
- Why Mike Brown was the perfect coach to lead the Kings
- Jerry’s respects for broadcasting legend Gary Gerould
