The 2023-24 NBA season isn’t even over, yet Harrison Barnes is up for two end-of-year awards.

On Tuesday, the Association announced the nominees for the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award, with the Kings’ forward among the finalists.

“The annual honor recognizes the player deemed the best teammate based on selfless play, on- and off-court leadership as a mentor and role model to other NBA players, and commitment and dedication to team,” the NBA posted to social media.

Twelve players are up for the award and current NBA players vote to select the winner. Joining Barnes are Mikal Bridges, Jalen Brunson, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Mike Conley, Markelle Fultz, Al Horford, T.J. McConnell, Larry Nance Jr., Georges Niang, Dwight Powell and Jalen Williams.

Jrue Holiday won the award last season and is a three-time Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award winner.

Harrison Barnes was also announced as a finalist for the NBA Sportsmanship Award.

The award, which has been around since the 1995-96 season, recognizes “the player who best represents the ideals of sportsmanship on the court.” The 31-year-old forward was previously nominated for the same award four times: last season, 2020-21, 2019-20 season and the 2018-19 season.

If Harrison Barnes wins either award, he’ll be the first Sacramento Kings player to take home the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year or NBA Sportsmanship Award.
