The Sacramento Kings announced Sunday they signed second-round pick Kyle Guy to a two-way contract.

Guy was the No. 55 selection in the 2019 draft out of Virginia and quickly showed off his sharp-shooting prowess. He averaged 12.3 points per game on 40.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc during the Kings’ three California Classic games. He shot 37.8 percent overall with 3.3 boards and 1.3 assists.

His two-way deal will allow the Kings to shuttle Guy between Sacramento and the Kings’ G-League affiliate in Stockton. He can’t spend more than 45 days with the NBA club.

Troy Williams was the Kings’ two-way player last year. He played in 21 games for Sacramento.

Guy was a three-point specialist in college, hitting 42.5 percent from distance on 5.6 attempts per game across three seasons with the Cavaliers. He helped lead them to a national championship in 2019 with 15.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

The Kings’ next Summer League game is Monday against the Mavericks in Las Vegas. Their first game in Vegas was a 94-77 romp over the Chinese National Team. Guy posted 21 points, two rebounds and five assists in that victory.
